Workout | P90X Yoga X Status: Completed All done with Round 1! Had a great yoga workout today, then took my measurements. It looks like I lost just about 20 lbs. Considering Thanksgiving last weekend and Claim Jumper last night, I'm pretty comfortable with that. I'm still pretty squishy overall, but a lot less fat than 90 days ago. I wonder where I'll be after the next 90 days. Tony said it best at the end of this workout....self, thanks for bringing it. Recap will follow soon. Gotta get ready for work now. Namaste. |

Day: 90, P90X Yoga X

Day: 85, P90X Yoga X
Workout | P90X Yoga X Status: Completed The final recovery week has begun! Yoga went pretty well today. I had a little trouble getting started and was losing focus towards the end, but the majority I held everything pretty well. I slept a lot last night, and I think that makes me a little sluggish on yoga days. Not too much to say about this workout. I'm debating looking into Yoga: MC2 (from One on One) for the next round, but only if it's as difficult as Yoga X. I don't like having this workout memorized, but I don't want to be one of those people who switches to an easier yoga workout. Yes, yoga x is hard, but I feel like it's the most important of the workouts. Going into Week 13 strong. Namaste. |

Day: 81, P90X Yoga X
Workout | P90X Yoga X Status: Completed Oi, today was not a good yoga day. I don't know if I was tired or what, but my balance was horrible, my stamina was horrible and I honestly could not bring it today like I usually can. I'm glad I get two more shots at this before Day 90. I did manage to finish, though, so I guess that's a victory. Even a crappy yoga day I still feel pretty good after, so Week 12 continues. Namaste. |

Day: 74, P90X Yoga X
Workout | P90X Yoga X Status: Completed Yoga is definitely the best way to start the day! It was tough getting moving, but once I got going I felt great. This was one of my stronger moving sessions, and it flew by! By the time I got to the Half Moon stuff I was wiped, but it's all downhill from there and I managed to finish strong too. I even did a ton better on my Yoga Belly 7 stuff. Great workout and my day is looking mighty bright. Namaste. |

Day: 67, P90X Yoga X
Workout | P90X Yoga X Status: Completed Yoga is the best way to start the day, and since the time change was on Sunday I no longer have to do yoga in the dark. I was really tired when I got started today, but by the time we got to the sun salutations I was really relaxed and pumped out one of my strongest yoga x days ever! I even held the half moon stuff a lot longer, and my crane was strong too. I didn't actually leave the ground, but balanced on one toe the entire 60 seconds. My arms were on fire after! Great workout and once again a great way to start the day. Namaste. |

Day: 60, P90X Yoga X
Log Entry | Daily Note: Today is Day 60. I took another picture and weighed myself, but I'm still not posting anything until Day 90. What's interesting, though, is that I didn't lose as much weight as I thought I would have in the last 30 days. However, I can definitely notice a difference in my Day 30 and Day 60 pictures, so I'm wondering how much muscle I've also gained. I'm a little off track from where I wanted to be, but my goals aren't impossible to reach. The Shakeology should help too. I had the chocolate one yesterday by the way, and it's delicious! I should have gotten all chocolate. Oh well. 30 more days and Round 1 is done! |
Workout | P90X Yoga X Status: Completed Good yoga workout. Not great, but good. My legs were still dying from Plyo two days ago, and by the time I got to the right angle pose today I started to feel spent. I pulled through and finished the whole workout, and even held crane pose a little longer today, but I've definitely done better. That's ok though. I woke up early and I still hit play, so today is a victory. Namaste. |

Day: 55, P90X Yoga X
Workout | P90X Yoga X Status: Completed Wow, my muscles were tight today, but I still got in a great yoga workout. I'm still rough on the half moon stuff, but the rest was pretty strong and I felt great the whole time! Today's Nevada Day, so no work. I got to rest, relax and then had a great Yoga X day! Great way to finish up Phase 2, and week 9 begins on Sunday! Happy Nevada Day everyone! Namaste! |

Day: 50, P90X Yoga X
Workout | P90X Yoga X Status: Completed Ok, I officially love Yoga X. Today's the first day of the second recovery week, so I get to do yoga on Sunday afternoon instead of Wednesday before work. Feeling extra rested today, I was so ready for yoga and I rocked it! I just get stronger and stronger every time I do this, and it's awesome watching these huge improvements over such a short period of time. I can hold poses so much stronger, I'm way more flexible, and I do every one of the pushups! The pushups feel amazing too! They feel more like a great stretch than a resistance workout. Great workout and a great way to start Week 8. Namaste. |

Day: 46, P90X Yoga X
Workout | P90X Yoga X Status: Completed Excellent Yoga X day! My crane pose is getting a lot better, and I even got up to the wheel today! I couldn't hold it the whole time, but I definitely did it! The Warrior 3 stuff is still really hard for me, but a little better every time. Overall, though, today's yoga was strong, fluid and kicked my ass! Making huge strides in Week 7! Namaste. |

Day: 39, P90X Yoga X
Log Entry | Daily Note: Not P90X related, but the Chilean miners came up to the surface safely today. Just wanted to send a shout out to them. Very stoked that they're all ok! |
Workout | P90X Yoga X Status: Completed I held the crane pose for 9 seconds! Granted, that 9 seconds was broken into 3 blocks of 3 seconds, but holy crap! The crane pose for 1 minute is going to happen someday! This was my strongest yoga by far. The moving stuff felt great, and I'm much more flexible on the balance poses. I still struggle with the entire half moon series. It's not a balance thing, or at least I don't think it is. It's a strength in one leg thing, so I guess that means eventually I'll be able to hold it, when I'm stronger. Yoga is an amazing way to start the day. My day is going to be great! Namaste. |

Day: 32, P90X Yoga X
Workout | P90X Yoga X Status: Completed Good workout today. Not the best, but still very good. Not too much to say...it's Yoga X. I feel good and stretched. Namaste. |

Day: 27, P90X Yoga X
Log Entry | Daily Note: Recovery Week is wrapping up today! Rest day tomorrow (even though there may be cardio). Oh, cool news: I saw the grandparents at dinner last night, and the first thing Grandma said when I got to the restaurant was that I looked so thin. I don't see it, but hearing her say that was huge! And I'm not even on Day 30. I cannot wait to see what happens on Day 90! Bring it! |
Workout | P90X Yoga X Status: Completed Good yoga day. I was slacking towards the end of the moving section, but I also had to get up about an hour earlier than normal for this workout, so I'm chalking it up to that. |

Day: 22, P90X Yoga X
Log Entry | Daily Note: A year ago I tried P90X, and made it 3 weeks. As of today, I've officially gone further with P90X than my first attempt. I'm taking this one a lot more seriously too; I actually have a decent eating plan, I own actual weights instead of just one band, and I have this blog. The blog is helping me immensely. It forces me to document everything, and I feel like I don't want to let my readers (whether I actually have any or not) down. It's a cool motivator. I finally took a day off yesterday. It felt good, surprisingly. My legs were really ready for Yoga X today, so every once in a while I'll have to do a rest day I guess. Feeling excellent today. Bring it! |
Workout | P90X Yoga X Status: Completed My best Yoga X yet, and I enjoyed it a lot more too. The moving stuff feels much more comfortable and that let me work a lot harder at it. I was soaked and felt great! I'm starting to see how and why this whole thing works. My legs were a lot stronger in yoga today....well ya, that's because I've been doing Plyo and Legs & Back. My arms are stronger on arm day. Well ya, that's because two days before I did a crap load of pushups and pullups. The workouts all build on each other, so even though you aren't using the exact same muscle each day, you still build the strength for the next day's workout. Feeling great! Yoga X is actually pretty awesome. |

Day: 18, P90X Yoga X
Workout | P90X Yoga X Status: Completed Tony asked on Facebook a few weeks ago "when did you go from hating yoga x to loving it?" I can't say I love it yet, but I definitely don't hate it. The moving section is still really tough, but I can make it through about 75% before I ever break. And today I did every single pushup! I've gotta count next time, but I think that's 30 extra pushups! That's awesome! I do this one early in the morning, and I really want more cardio, so right now I'm planning on doing either cardio x or kenpo x tonight. We'll see how it goes. Right now I'm just going to enjoy my protein shake and the great stretched out spine I have right now. Namaste. |

Day: 11, P90X Yoga X
Workout | P90X Yoga X Status: Completed Yoga X is done! I felt a lot stronger than last week, but it's going to be a while before I can do this entire thing without taking breaks. The second half does feel great though. I love the stretching poses. I don't feel like I'm getting the cardio I need from this, though. Yoga X Day is the other day I work out in the morning, so maybe I'll get in an extra round of Cardio X tonight. We'll see. Namaste. |
Workout | P90X Cardio X Status: Completed I was sitting on my couch doing nothing, so I decided to do cardio x. I skipped the yoga stuff since I did yoga x this morning. Good workout, and I'm surprised that "just sitting around" was enough motivation to do cardio. I really dig this workout. Hopefully I can keep this energy until Day 90, and I'll get a little better results. Bring it! |

Yoga X Update
I had a long lunch yesterday, so I decided to do Yoga X on my break. Unfortunately, I forgot that this workout is an entire hour and a half, and I just didn't have the time to finish it. When I got home, I had to work on a paper for school, so Yoga X did not get completed.
To top it off, after writing the paper I decided to eat a burrito, immediately before bed. It's the next morning now, and I feel absolutely terrible. I guess I'm not in college anymore, but hopefully this turns me off completely from the late night eating.
Not finishing my workout and eating terrible, I feel like yesterday was not a success. That's ok though; this whole process is going to be a learning experience. I have another weird schedule day, so I'm going to do Legs & Back on my lunch break (this one's actually going to fit in the time frame), and when I get home tonight I'm going to finish up Ab Ripper X and maybe even throw in a Cardio X workout. We'll see how my legs are doing.
Bring it!
